Vicki, our hearts are broken right now thinking of Gordon, but we know he is happy and finally free of pain. We will miss him but are so happy that we had the chance to know him and share many wonderful experiences with him. He was a great friend and neighbor and most of all “Marlyn’s Brother”. Vicki, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Years ago, when Gordon volunteered to drive ill people to the doctor, they often told me that he did extra kindnesses for them. One woman, whom he drove to Augusta for an appointment that ran longer than expected, told me that Gordon bought and gave her food in the waiting room. She was most appreciative, as were all the people he helped. Gordon was such a kind man. Nell Walden

Mike and I were so sorry to hear about Gordon’s passing. The front porch will never be the same without Gordon sitting out there visiting with all the neighbors passing by. We loved it when he would come to our house just to visit with our cat Mr Ted aka Buddy. Gordon had a gentleness and love for animals. He will be greatly missed.
I am so saddened to learn of Gordan’s passing. As you know, we were classmates at Lanier, and we reconnected later in life through medicine. He was a fine man, and I always considered him a good friend.
Unfortunately, I will be out of town on Thursday and thus unable to attend the service. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
