Gloria Beatrice 'Bea' Lemley's Obituary
PERRY-
Gloria Beatrice "Bea" Lemley, 78, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins on Saturday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Mrs. Lemley was born in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Marvin and Emily Braden. A long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry, she was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. "Miss Bea" was a Hostess at Waffle House in Perry for many years, and will long be remembered for her beautiful smile and sweet kindness that she shared with everyone she met. She loved her animals (cats and dogs) and her music, which she loved to dance to or would often sit and listen to for hours on end. Mrs. Lemley enjoyed going to the "beauty shop", getting her hair done, and visiting with all of the ladies there. She had a generous spirit and treasured the act of giving. She loved random acts of kindness for her friends and family, all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mel Lemley; a son, Melvin B. Lemley; 2 sisters, Margie and Paulette; a brother, Doug; and her daughter-in-law, Julia Lemley.
Left to cherish the memories of "Miss Bea" are her son, Steve Lemley of Perry; her grandchildren, Ron Moody (Angie), Shannon Lemley, and Rusty Lemley (Leslie), all of Perry; her sisters, Rose, Clara, Barbara, Bernice, Sherrie, and Cathy, all of Tennessee; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
