GINGER STOKES WOODELL's Obituary
WARNER ROBINS -
Ginger Lynn Stokes Woodell passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was 42 years old. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the Funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Ginger was born in Perry on March 2, 1983. The youngest of six, she basically grew up as an only child, because all of her siblings were so much older than her. When the whole family gathered at holidays, Ginger was their real-life baby doll for many years. She was a 2001 honor graduate of Central Fellowship Christian Academy. She continued her education at Macon State College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Information Technology, graduating first in her class from the Macon State School of Business that year. Ginger soon accepted a position with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, where she still worked. She met and married the love of her life, Skylar Woodell, and the couple settled in Warner Robins. In 2025, Ginger was recognized for twenty years of dedicated service at RAFB and received her 20-year pin, an accomplishment held in great esteem. Having held several positions with Civil Service, she was recently promoted to a Systems OPR Specialist.
Ginger had a very close relationship with her husband, with whom she spent every single night of the nineteen years they had been married. That is commitment. They made a covenant to one another and were a wonderful example to young couples of what marriage should be. They had recently been attending Second Baptist Church in Warner Robins and were looking forward to growing closer to God together. Ginger was an intelligent, soft-spoken, respectful, and very sweet lady, portraying positivity and kindness wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and co-workers, but especially by her beloved husband and her precious fur baby.
Ginger was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Cross Stokes; her father, Jimmy Stokes; and an infant sister, Melanie Paige Stokes.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of nineteen years, Skylar Woodell of Warner Robins; her faithful four-legged German Shephard, Ozzy Woodell; her siblings, Wendy Stokes Bellacomo (Joe), Jeff Stokes (Dena), Matt Stokes (Vickie), and Rodney Grim; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her father-in-law, Wayne Woodell.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
