PERRY-
Geraldine "Gerry" Sawyer Nall, 81, passed away at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care Facility on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Mrs. Nall was born in Monticello, Arkansas, to the late Floy and Glen Edmonds. She married the love of her life, Hardy Nall, in 1950 and devoted herself to him and their family. They lived many places, travelling the United States and Germany with his civil service job. While living in Bitburg, Germany, the two of them were instrumental in establishing a Baptist Church there, where Mrs. Nall took an active role in the leadership of the children's ministries. In the early 1970's, the Nalls relocated to Perry, where they settled to raise their children. A long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry, she was also a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. In her early years as a member there, she was involved with the children's ministries and was a Sunday School teacher. A devoted wife, wonderful mother and grandmother, and special friend, she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Sawyer.
Left to cherish the memories of "Gerry" are her loving husband of 63 years, Hardy Nall of Perry; her sons and their wives, Randy and Anita Nall of Bozeman, Montana, Gary and Debbie Nall of Pooler, Georgia, and Tim and Kim Nall of Acworth, Georgia; her grandchildren, Tom Nall, Stella Nall, Mallory Nall, and McGee Nall; one niece; and one nephew.
Friends are invited to leave condolences for the family in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
