GEOFFREY MARK STONER's Obituary
Geoffrey Mark Stoner, 64, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022, after an extended illness. A private Memorial Service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a contribution to the donor’s favorite charity.
Geoffrey was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to George and Betty Stoner. He graduated from Brush High School in South Euclid, Ohio. After high school, he furthered his education at Columbia University and Bryn Mawr University. He used his degrees to help others, his last employment being with Carrier Psychiatric Hospital in New Jersey. Throughout his life, Geoff enjoyed time with his family, especially at Christmas time. He also was very close with his twin nieces, Emily and Hannah, who fondly referred to him as “Crazy Uncle Geoff.” In his free time, he enjoyed playing poker and spending time with his neighbors in Macon.
Geoff was preceded in death by his father, George H. Stoner.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Geoff are his loving mother, Betty Stoner of Macon; his sister, Candy Purvis (Charles) of Temecula, California; and his nieces, Emily Townsend and Hannah Townsend, of Los Angeles, California.
