Perry, Georgia Gary Norwood Sirmon, 50, recently of Decatur, Georgia, passed awaay on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30 at the Perry United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Gary was born in Fort Valley, GA March 28, 1966 to John and Joyce Sirmon. He has one brother, Bill Sirmon (Sallie) of Fort Valley. Gary graduated from The Westfield Schools in 1984. He attended Georgia College in Milledgeville and served in the United States Marine Corps. Gary worked as a systems engineer or computer expert for a number of companies in the Atlanta area. Most recently he was with LexisNexis. Along the way he made wonderful friends and was a great companion to many. He lived the life of humillity and meekness that we read about in the Beatitudes. All of his friends attest to the fact that he was the nicest person they had known. He is survived by his father, John Sirmon and stepmother, Etherene, and his brother, Bill Sirmon (Sallie) and niece Joy Sirmon Watkins (John) and nephew John Sirmon.
