Franklin 'Frank' L Monroe's Obituary

Franklin Lyman Monroe, CMSgt, USAF, Retired, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2014, while visiting his son in Michigan. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m., the hour preceding the funeral, at the funeral home.
Mr. Monroe was the son of William Monroe and Ruthie Flanders Monroe. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Air Force and retired after 25 years of service. Several years after retiring from the military, he worked for 6 years in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He enjoyed reading books and working in his vegetable garden. His greatest treasure in life was his family, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish the memories of Frank are his loving wife, Ely Monroe; his children, Dan Monroe, Pamela Monroe Urness, Cindi Monroe, Penny Brown, Ronnie Monroe, Raymond Monroe, and Cristina Gillaspie; his brothers, Ronald Monroe, Kenneth Monroe, Thomas Monroe, and Gerry Monroe; 17 grandchildren; lots of great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
