Frank Morgan Jordan's Obituary
PERRY-Frank Morgan Jordan, Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2016, just one day prior to his 85th birthday. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Perry United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 73, Perry, GA 31069.Mr. Jordan was born in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Frank and Marguerite Jordan. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After working as a salesman for Pepperidge Farms and Ft. Howard Paper Company, he retired from East State Prison in Rahway, New Jersey, after serving nearly 20 years as a Senior Corrections Officer. Mr. Jordan, with his wife as co-captain, piloted his house boat from the Toms River in New Jersey through the intercoastal waterway to City of Palms, Florida, on which they lived for 12 years. During that time, he worked as a Security Officer for the Boston Red Sox during their annual Spring Training in City of Palms, which was sometimes trying, as Frank was an avid New York Yankees fan. The couple moved to Perry in 2004. He thoroughly enjoyed bowling, and through the years, became an excellent bowler. Most recently, he bowled weekly with the Senior Wonders at Gold Cup in Warner Robins. He spent lots of time nursing rescued dogs back to health and welcoming them into his family.Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Jordan are his loving and devoted wife off 33 years, Marge Jordan; his children, Lisa Genovese (Gene) of Hazlet, New Jersey, Frank Jordan, III, (Pam) of Selbyville, Delaware, Laura Connors (Thomas) of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Thomas Jordan of Monmouth Beach, New Jersey; his sister, Joyce King of Richmond, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; his step-children, George Hept (Wendy), Gary Hept, Cynthia LaFace (Paul), and Jacquelyn Hept; and 7 step-grandchildren. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
