Francis Elmer Hendrix, age 86, a native of Butler, AL and longtime resident of Mobile passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Hendrix, 6 children, James (June) Hendrix, Rita (John) Monroe, Ernest Hendrix, Anita (Bennie) Green, Robert (Annette) Hendrix, Frances (Dean) Ladner, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Dell (Charles) Walston, 1 brother, Ellis (Frances) Hendrix, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10am. Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum.Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
