Frances Josephine “Joann” Sprinkle Place, age 75, a longtime resident of Coden, AL passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 60 years and 6 months, Blake Louis Place Sr., children, Frances (Vincent) Collier, Blake (Anita) Place Jr., Scott (Carla) Place Sr., Cindy (Geoff) Kaempfer, Vickie (Larry) Tompkins, grandchildren, Tonya, Bubba, Michelle, Ambi, Skye, Trey , Allen, Michael, Blakley, Jay, Wesley, John, Evan, Kayleigh, Marissa, William, 21 great grandchildren, many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held at St. Michael’s Center in Heron Bay on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at the center on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
