Frances Lay, 92, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Oak Hill City Cemetery in Griffin. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. on Monday at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice, Morningside Dr., Perry, Georgia 31069
Mrs. Lay was born in Orchard Hill, Georgia and had lived in Houston County since 1981. She was the daughter of the late William Jackson and Lila Crozier Grubbs.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ira "Mickey" Lay (Andee) of Warner Robins; sister, Ruth Frey of Tampa; grandchildren, Keali Lay of Warner Robins and Taylor Lay (US Marine Corps) stationed in California. She was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Jacobs, Jack Grubb, and Lila Howard.
