Forrest Baxter Baynard's Obituary
PERRY- Forrest Baxter Baynard went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Perry, GA with Brother Randy Rosbrook officiating. Interment will be at Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry, GA.
Mr. Baynard was born in Six Path, NC on May 13, 1924. He had made his home in Perry, GA since 1969. He retired from N.G. Gilbert Corporation of Muncie, IN in 1993 and was owner of Baynard's Tree Service in Perry, GA for a number of years. Mr. Baynard was a devoted member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Perry, GA.
Mr. Baynard is survived by his wife, Joyce Salter Baynard of Perry, GA and his children, Vicki Morgan (John) of VA Beach, VA; Debora Duryea of Jonesboro, GA; Denise Martin of Jackson, GA; Delores Brown (Gary) of Perry, GA; DeeDee (Scott) Wrigley of Macon, GA; Lee Salter (Melanie); Thomas Vern Baynard (Evans) of VA Beach, VA; Dennis Baxter Baynard (Diane) of Bisco, NC; Ronnie C. Baynard (Susan) of VA Beach, VA. Also surviving; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mr. Baynard in death are his father, James Andrew Baynard, born Oct. 8, 1867, deceased Dec. 16, 1953; and his mother, Maude Roxanne Pritchard, born Nov. 30, 1892, deceased July 19, 1964. Also, preceding in death, grandchild, J.J. Andrews and son-in-law, Jimmy Martin. Brothers and sisters preceding in death, Walter Baynard; Yates Baynard; Grover Baynard; Eunice Wilson; Moorie Griggs; Ola Smith; Edna Huntsinger and Essie Bradley.
