May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
Although I may not have fully appreciated Mrs. Harrison while I was under her tutelage at PHS, I have thanked her repeatedly as an adult for my love of vocabulary, proper grammar, literature, and composition. Often, as I have written, I have thought "would Mrs. Harrison think this was worthy of an A?" My sympathies are with her loved ones.
The PHS Class of 1956 expresses sincere sympathy in the passing of Mrs. Harrison. We are so lucky to have had her in our lives. We always enjoyed seeing her and Mr. Harrison at our class reunions. We will never forget her.
The Hooten Family is so sorry to hear of Florence's death and extend our love and sympathy to her family. I had "Flo-Baby" at Westfield and can remember all the recitations we had to do, but I think I enjoyed them. Florence was always very prim and proper, "very together." "Ahem," she was often uttering as she taught. Also, if a student sneezed or coughed..., I can see her with that Lysol spraying the room! Ha! She may now have everyone in heaven lined up reciting scriptures of praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A beautiful lady and beloved teacher will be missed. Sincerely, Becky Hooten Millar, Marilyn Hooten and Family
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
Oh, my goodness at the memories! I learned so much from Mrs. Harrison - not just English. And because of her tutelage I was well prepared for my very tough English professor in college. She was always so prim and proper.... always a lady. She left an amazing legacy for so many - students and friends as well. Kenny and I both are praying for her family.
Such an impression this lovely lady made on so many students! Mrs. Harrison was always on top of her game! It was a privilege to have her as my teacher .
Mrs. Harrison was a wonderful person sndteacher. She was a great inspiration to both of us and we will never forget her love for us. She wanted Perkins to go to college but she knew we were destined to get married. She will always be a fond memory to us and we loved her. She is with our Lord now and can rest in peace. May God blessher family. Perkins and Marvelle Jenkins
Sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept our condolences. Read Is 25:8.
I have thought of her often and told many people she was one of the best teachers I have ever known. I did not appreciate my time in class until I was out. She was a true lady who had a devotion to her students. She will be missed but she has touched on so many lives in her life that she will live on. May God comfort the family during this time.
