FAYE HILL HANDY's Obituary
MACON, GA –
Mona “Faye” Hill Handy, 84, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, in Perry, GA. All services are private. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or contributions in memory of Faye may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Faye was born on December 23, 1939, in La Grange, NC. A graduate of Kinston High School in Kinston, North Carolina, she also attended East Carolina. Faye was an insurance agent for eighteen years and the Mercer University School of Medicine Dean’s Secretary for five years. Faye was an avid tennis player and loved to play Bridge. She enjoyed gardening through the years until her health prevented her from doing the things she loved. Her passion for these hobbies brought joy to her and those around her. She had been a member of Vineville Baptist Church in Macon for over twenty years and had been a member of Ingleside Baptist Church for the past ten years. Faye will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lloyd Hill and Nora Farmer Hill; her oldest son, David Handy; and her siblings, Jim Hill, Sr., Billy Hill, Joanne Long, and Ronnie Hill.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Faye are her sons, Mark Handy of Macon and Wade Handy (Heather) of Marietta. She will be remembered as a loving “Nana” to Janey Handy, Christian Handy, and Hillary Handy. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
