Deacon Jim Roberge will officiate. A Private Entombment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the Mt. Holyoke Fund at www.mtholyoke.edu.Mrs. Baumann was born in Slingerlands, New York, just outside of Albany, to the late Charles Pier and the late Bertha White Pier. Having attended grade school in Slingerlands, she transferred to Albany Academy for Girls, where she played field hockey, studied French, and won the Latin prize. After graduation in 1943, she went to Mt. Holyoke College where she majored in Latin American Culture. She returned home after college, met, and married the love of her life, Otto Baumann, whom she met on a golf course. To be "unlike everybody else", the couple was married on May 31, 1952, to avoid Faith being a "June bride". Otto was "in the beer business", and they relocated several times with Pabst Brewing Company from New York to Illinois to Perry, Georgia, where he was the local plant manager of Pabst. The Baumanns then went to Texas ans Los Angeles, California with Budweiser, and eventually retiring in 1983 just outside Portland, Oregon, where Otto worked for Henry Weinhard. Mrs. Baumann enjoyed playing golf, playing bridge, and socializing with friends. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Her greatest passion, though, was her family. Mrs. Baumann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Otto K.T. Baumann.Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Baumann are her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Betty Baumann; and her grandson, Doug Baumann. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
