Carol & Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Praying for strength & comfort for you all in the days ahead.
Granny Shorty sure did love her family and It showed whenever they were together. She’d welcome extended family with as much graciousness as I’ve ever seen. Her influence is obvious in those all around her. Her loss will be hard and we will be praying for the family’s comfort.
I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Evelyn. I worked with her many years ago and remember her fondly. She was sweet and kind to everyone and loved the Lord. May God Bless you and the grandchildren.
Such a lovely Christian lady! Who and what her family is, fairly shouts wonderful things about our dear 'Sister Shorty' and her late husband. Her husband was our friend and church brother, JB Tucker.
Her straightforwardness caused my wife, Joan, and me to love and respect Sister Shorty. As she was the matriarch of her family, so she truly was the Mother in our church. She remained a faithful member almost since The Hayneville Assembly of God Church was founded.
We regret that such a wonderful light has passed from us. But, we find only words of hope and joy because of a life so well lived. We miss her already, but we can only rejoice that we knew this darling lady: we rejoice because of her promotion. Dear Lady, we will see you at the reunion!

So sorry for your loss. Shorty was a very sweet and caring lady. Prayers for the family. Marvin and Mary Fowler.
Regret to learn of the passing of our dear classmate. Evelyn was a kind and gentle member of the PHS Class of '55. She faithfully attended our class reunions and made generous donations to our charitable projects. I never called her "shorty", although she was in height, but much taller in the many ways she cared about her friends and family. I offer sincere sympathies to the entire family .... William Harrison
