Evalyn Deming Huckaby's Obituary
Evalyn Deming Huckaby, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, after an extended illness. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 4- 6 p.m.at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama.
Mrs. Huckaby was born in Tyler, Texas, to the late Charles and Ola Mae Reeves Cole. She was a
Retired Federal Employee. She attended the Perry United Methodist Church, and was also a member of United Methodist Women, Red Had Society, and Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and singing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Huckaby, and her brother, Walter D. Cole.
Left to cherish the memories of her are her daughter, Betty Girling Dawkins (Skip) of Perry; her grandchildren, Mary Dawkins McNees (Scott), Jennifer Dawkins Yllander (Sean), Beverly Dawkins Smith (Alex), and Cynthia Dawkins Whitmoyer (Joel); and her great-grandchildren, Corey McNees, Christopher McNees, Katie McNees, A. J. Yllander, Zachary Yllander, Ashleigh Yllander, Savannah Smith, Nicklas Smith, Nate Whitmoyer, and Ben Whitmoyer.
