Etta Mae Huffman's Obituary
Etta Mae Huffman, age 99, passed away on July 7, 2014. She was born April 12, 1915 to the late Afton (Dick) and Nettie Mae Broadus. She was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church in Grand Bay. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Vernon W. Huffman and a great-great grandaughter, Mila L. Oswalt. She was the oldest and last surviving of her family and was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Van and Carl Broadus, and two sisters, Loraine Hamilton and Mary Ellen Salter. She is survived by her three children, Athale (Bill, deceased) Mintz, Nettie Alice (Mack) Welford, and Wayne (Debi) Huffman, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting from 12 noon. Services will be officiated by Rev. James Messer, Pastor of Cloverdale Baptist Church and Rev. Don Turberville, Pastor of Christian Fellowship Tabernacle and Chaplain of Southern Care Hospice. Interment will be in Grand Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be 3 grandsons, Bill Mintz Jr., Jerry Mintz, James Mintz, 3 friends, Rex Stringfellow, Ray Stringfellow, Brannan Stringfellow.
