Ethel Rhodes Knight's Obituary
Ethel Rhodes Knight, age 93, a lifelong resident of Bayou La Batre, AL passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. Mrs. Knight was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Bay, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Rhodes and Martha Sprinkle Rhodes, husband of 66 years, Willis “Bill” Knight, grandsons, Jeremy Knight and Robert “Bubba” Dolbare Jr., granddaughter, Tabitha “Tabby” Dolbare, great grandson, Nelson “Nel Nel” Dolbare, son-in-laws, Marion Logan and James Merritt. She is survived by her sons, Billy (Patsy) Knight and Terry (Ann) Knight, daughters, Dot Logan, Gloria Merritt and Melinda (Terry) Dolbare Sr., 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, one brother, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Devoted Caregivers at the Grand Bay Convalescent Home. Pallbearers are: Kenny Logan, John Logan, Michael Knight, Bill Knight, Frank Collier and Jonathan Dolbare. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12 noon until service time. Services will be performed by Dr. Royce L. Dubose of First Baptist Church Grand Bay. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
