Ethel Catherine Coker Herman - A resident of Mobile Alabama, born on August 14, 1946. Passed away March 2, 2017. Cathy enjoyed cooking and Christmas. She would plan for Christmas six months out of the year. She was an amazing mother, grandmother (Meme), and great grandmother, who will be missed dearly. Cathy was proceeded in death by her parents Mr. Gibson Herbert Coker Sr. and Mrs. Estelle Margarett Burnes-Coker, along with her sister Celeste Smith and her common law husband Richard Derosiers. She is survived by her brother Gibson H. Coker Jr, her best friend (sister at heart) Diane Shepard, her three daughters: Michelle Herman, Paula Miller, and Jennifer Derosiers, along with her seven grandchildren: Joshua Herman, Markos Kofonis, Darrion Chamlee, Corey Johnson, Dominic Derosiers, Jon Miller, and Hannah Watson, and of course her five sweet great grandchildren. -Crossing Over (Poem)-Oh, please don't feel guiltyIt was just my time to go.I see you are still feeling sad,And the tears just seem to flow.We all come to earth for our lifetime,And for some it's not many yearsI don't want you to keep cryingYou are shedding so many tears.I haven't really left youEven though it may seem so.I have just gone to my heavenly home,And I'm closer to you than you know.Just believe that when you saymy name, I'm standing next to you,I know you long to see me,But there's nothing I can do.But I'll still send you messagesAnd hope you understand,That when your time comes toacross over, I'll be thereto take your hand.-Author Unknown
