Ethel Crumpton Ellis' Obituary
Ethel Crumpton Ellis, 99, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Perry with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will immediately follow the services at Perry Memorial Gardens. A Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church in the sanctuary. Mrs. Ellis was the daughter of the late Riley and Eula Crumpton and was born in Adel, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman Marlo Ellis. Most folks from Perry remember Mrs. Ellis from her days at Houston Drug Company where she worked for over 50 years and was a true friend to all the young folks. She would even do make up for all the girls for the school dances. She also later worked at Akin Drug Company. Mrs. Ellis was a very giving person, great cook, and devoted friend to all. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Perry. Survivors include her son, Alton Ellis of Perry; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 8 siblings.
