Ernest RAY Sullivan's Obituary

Ray Sullivan, 70, passed away at Houston Medical Center on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment with full Masonic rites will be at Snow United Methodist Church in Unadilla immediately following the service. Bobby Simmons will officiate. Visitation will be from on Friday, February 22, 2013, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29605.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Dooly County to the late Grover C. and Mary Dorough Sullivan. He had lived in Perry for the past 36 years. A carpenter by trade, he had worked for P & P Construction. Most of his life, he was involved in Masonic activities. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where he was a Past Worthy Patron, and the Perry Shrine Club. Mr. Sullivan loved fishing, and traveled all around the southeast to various fishing spots. He was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie Beavers and Kenneth Beavers.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Betty Jackson Sullivan, of Perry; his daughter, Crystal Brady of Perry; his son, Danny Beavers of Butler; his sister, Dorothy Priester of North Augusta, South Carolina; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
