Elizabeth Holder Worley, 88 passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, August 16, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Henderson Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family respectfully suggests contributions to Henderson Baptist Church, 2813 US Hwy 41S, Elko, GA 31025.
Elizabeth was born June 1, 1925, in Atlanta, Georgia. Retired from Robins Air Force Base after 33 years of service, she ran a successful family farm in Perry. She was a life long member of Henderson Baptist Church in Henderson. Elizabeth enjoyed bowling and fishing when her health allowed. She spent a great deal of time researching her family's geneology. She had a wood shop in her back yard where she enjoyed building and working with her hands. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert W. Hudson, S. Hardin Hodge, and John B. Worley; her parents, Jessie Martin Holder and John Henry Holder; her brother, John Martin Holder; and her son, Robert Lewis Hudson.
Left to cherish the memories of Elizabeth are her daughter, Anna Franklin (Marvin) of Perry; her sons, Henry Hudson (Debbie) of Perry; and John "Jack" Hodge (Lynn) of Douglasville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 nephews, John Holder and Mark Holder.
