Elizabeth Simmons' Obituary
Elizabeth Shine Simmons, age 88, a longtime resident of Irvington, AL passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was a devoted christian, mother and grandmother. She was a former member of 1st Baptist St. Elmo Church for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Levert Simmons and brother, Don Shine. She is survived by her children, Larry (Betty) Fountain, Candy (Charles) Whitehurst and Russell (Shari) Simmons, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, siblings, Helen Jean Salva, Johnetta Gazzier and Ralph Shine, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 2 pm with visitation starting 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
