Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Fountain's Obituary
Elizabeth Rose "Betty" Dorriety Fountain, age 78, a native and lifelong resident of St. Elmo-Irvington area, passed away peacefully at home with her family on Sunday September 20, 2015. She was a bookkeeper for over 20 years with Mobile County Public School System and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Frank Dorriety, Sr., parents Charles Calvin "C.C." Trippe and Lydia Rose Marchand Trippe, sisters Helen Burgess and Jeanne Willis, and brother Ed Trippe. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband John "Larry" Fountain, two children: Joe "Joey" Frank Dorriety, Jr. her daughter-in-law Teresa Dorriety, and Timothy "Tim" Alan Dorriety, two grandchildren: Daniel (Crystal) Dorriety, and Jacob Dorriety, two great-grandchildren: Kaleb Dorriety and Emily Dorriety, sister Emma Wells, brother Leo Icard, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, from 11am-12noon at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following, officiated by Father Stephen Vrazel. Burial will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or The Southern Cancer Center.
