ED STOKES's Obituary
PERRY –
Leonard Edward “Ed” Stokes passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at home with his loving family by his side. He was 85. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Friendship Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the Funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Friendship Baptist Church, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Ed was born in Byron to the late Fred and Doris Howard Stokes. He graduated from Perry High School in 1958. Designated as a “classified employee”, he worked with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a Section Chief in Electronics Warfare for over thirty-seven years. Ed and his classmates held close friendships through the years, gathering at local restaurants regularly. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Ed was predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter, LeAnn Stokes; his siblings, Clara Malone and Jimmy Stokes; and a niece, Ginger Stokes Woodell.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Ed are his loving and devoted wife of nearly sixty-six years, Sandy Brooks Stokes; his daughters and sons-in-law, Trena and Micky Fuller of Byron, and Kelly and Charlie Stevens of Kathleen; his grandchildren, Mac Stevens (Cierra), Jimmy Stevens, and Josh Fuller (Jessica); two great-grandchildren, Hunter Fuller and Fisher Fuller; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
