The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church, in Perry, Georgia. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church in Perry, Georgia. Interment will be in Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church, 9050 Strickland Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
E’Lise was born into a loving home on February 1,1970, in Augusta, Georgia, to Dan and Ina Cogar Norman and big brother, Danny, and was named after her aunt, Sarah Cogar Jernigan. “Drew Baby” entered this home five years later. E’Lise’s precious mother, Ina Mae Cogar Norman, passed away on December 7, 1979. MeBob (Bob Norman) and Grandma Norman (Nellie Norman) moved in and helped raise their children alongside their Mamaw, Katherine Cogar. God later blessed the family and Dan remarried to Janice Bonner Norman in 1981 to form the Norman Bunch. The Norman Bunch stayed in Augusta until 1983, then moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, where many of them still reside today.
E’Lise was a graduate of Millbrook High School and Meredith College, both in Raleigh. She worked with children for over twenty years and was the Director at Primrose School of North Raleigh where she impacted the lives of many families. E’Lise enjoyed helping other people with their special occasions such as weddings and parties. She was very creative and helped make beautiful memories for her friends and family. She was known as the “crafty” one of the family. E’Lise dedicated her life to the Lord as a young teenager and served the Lord at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and was actively involved in many church ministries. E’Lise was blessed with two moms and honored her mothers by naming her daughter after them, both.
E’Lise was part of the huge Norman Bunch family (all 37 of us). Left to cherish the memories they made with E’Lise are her daughter, Ina Marie Peery, the apple of her eye, of Raleigh, North Carolina; her parents, Daniel Williams Norman, Sr. and Janice Marie Bonner Norman of Raleigh, North Carolina; her siblings, Tammy Barnes of Wendell, NC, Tracy Rogers (Scott) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Danny Norman (Nikki) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Wendy Collier (Chris) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Drew Norman (Lynn) of Raleigh, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, a great-niece, and great nephews; and many family, friends, and loved ones.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements in Georgia and Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in North Carolina.
