E. C. 'Bull' Padgett's Obituary
HAYNESVILLE-
E.C. "Bull" Padgett, 85, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Graveside Services wil be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Haynesville Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Haynesville, 811 Grovania Road, Hawkinsville, GA 31036 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069.
Mr. Padgett, born in Cherokee County, was the son of the late Ernest Charlie Padgett, Sr. and Willie Jeanette Forrest Padgett. He was a World War II and Korean U.S. Navy veteran. For 31 years, he worked at Penn-Dixie and Medussa Cement Plant. Mr. Padgett was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haynesville, serving as a Deacon and a member of the AAA Sunday School Class. He was a retired chief of the Haynesville Volunteer Fire Department.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Ruby Woddard Padgett: children, Charles Padgett, Kathy Chambers, Keith Padgett (Cindy); four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
