E. AARON RENTZ's Obituary
KATHLEEN –
E. Aaron Rentz, 86, passed away peacefully just before midnight on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Funeral Services will be at Life Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with the Visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., and the Funeral starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim McLauchlin officiating. Interment will also be on Saturday in Hazlehurst City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Flowers will be gratefully accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Life Church, Todd Road, Perry, GA 31069.
Aaron was born and grew up in Hazlehurst, working at his parents’ store, Rentz Groceries, from a young age. He worked at Crown, Cork, and Seal in Atlanta for several years before accepting a position as Tool and Parts Keeper with Civil Service in Anniston, Alabama. After working there for five years, he was transferred to Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where he retired after over twenty-five years. Aaron was an avid gardener and an active member of Life Church in Perry. He also enjoyed his time with The Senior Group at Life Church.
Aaron was predeceased by his parents, William and Sallie Copeland Rentz; his siblings, Catherine Goff, Buddy Rentz, and Frances Branch; and a daughter, Karen Ragsdale.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Aaron are his loving and devoted wife of sixty-seven years, Juanita Rentz of Kathleen; his children, Cheryl Monarch of Warner Robins, and Alan Rentz (Kim) of Coldwater, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
