Dwayne "Peanut" Edward Hamilton's Obituary
Dwayne "Peanut" Edward Hamilton, 54, of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the home of his parents, Gerald and Cecilia Hamilton. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2016, 2.p.m at The Baptist Chapel; 10431 Old Pascagoula Rd. Grand Bay, Al. 36541. A public viewing will be held from 12 pm-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Magnolia Springs Baptist Church; 6058 Theodore Dawes Rd. Theodore, AL 36582. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to in his memory. Dwayne was born September 17, 1962, in Portsmith, VA to Gerald M. and Cecilia A. Hamilton. He graduated from Theodore High School in 1980. Dwayne was employed as a supervisor at Huntington-Ingalls for approximately nineteen years in Pascagoula, MS. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for many years and loved spending time outdoors. He spent most of his weekends working on his land, drinking coffee, and watching the deer and hummingbirds from his porch. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his wife and family. He was a simple man with a big heart. Dwayne is survived by his three children, Blake Hamilton (Tasha) of Lufkin, TX, Brittany Pruitt (Cole) of Mobile, AL, and Brooke Hamilton of Mobile, AL; two granddaughters, Rivers Hamilton, Elizabeth Pruitt and Finley Hamilton expected in April; his wife, Laura Kenney Hamilton; his parents, Gerald and Cecilia Hamilton; his brothers, Richard G. Hamilton and Kenneth J. Hamilton; his father in law, Leon E. Kenney and mother in law, Linda L. Kenney.
