Douglas Eugene Jones' Obituary
Douglas Eugene Jones, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2014 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. He was a decorated U.S.M.C. Combat Vietnam Veteran. He was a lifelong member of Boy Scout Troop Leader of 121 and devoted husband and father. Douglas has touched so many lives and if you were lucky enough to have known him then you were lucky enough. He never knew a stranger and was always laughing, singing, and telling stories. Douglas is survived by his wife, Mildred Elaine Jones, children, Michael (Katrina) Jones, Christopher (Cheryl) Jones, Scott (Jessica) Jones, Erik Jones, grandchildren, Benjamin Jones, Morgan Grable, Mackenzie Jones, Kaci Everett, Ava Smith, Sam Barr, sisters, Andera Black, Vickie Francis, brother, Anthony Jones, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 12 noon with visitation starting 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Spanish Fort VA Cemetery.
