Douglas "Doug" Dale Baase soared with the eagles to meet Jesus on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 22, 1013, at 6:00 p.m. at Houston Lake Baptist Church. A Private Interment will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to Houston Lake Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 Highway 127 East, Perry, Georgia 31069 OR Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
Doug was born on October 31, 1938, in Gowanda, New York, the son of Stella and Hank Baase. He was an active member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. He retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a volunteer at The Museum of Aviation, and Loaves and Fishes of South Houston County.
He is survived by his wife, Gail; two sons, Dale (Kathy) and Lee (Michelle); granddaughters, Jennifer and Katelyn; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Mickey and Don : sisters, Beverly, Becky, Val, Jackie, Loree, and Cindy; and one aunt, Phil.
