Dorothy Horn's Obituary
Dorothy "Dot" Gragg Horn of Bayou La Batre, AL passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Canton, NC on June 29, 1925. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bayou La Batre for over 60 years where she served as Sunday School teacher and in many other capacities. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Lindon B. Horn. She is survived by her children, Sue Bosarge (Rocky), Gary Horn (Cheryl), Diane Lowery (Richard), Ken Horn (Wanda), Lori Godwin (Chris), sisters, Norma Land, Shirley Cosse (Stan), Pat Smith, Gail Ladnier, brothers, Jim Holland (Virgina), John Holland (Donna), Tommy Holland (Gerri), 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held from First United Methodist Church of Bayou La Batre on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to Frist United Methodist Church Bayou La Batre. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
