DORIS WYNELL FROST's Obituary
PERRY –
Doris Wynell Frost passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024. She was 84 years old. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour before the service. A private inurnment will be held in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Born in Dublin, Georgia, Wynell was a daughter of the late John and Maudie Lee Etheridge Frost, one of their ten children. She graduated from East Laurens High School. Known to family as friends as Wynell in Dublin, she was known by many as Doris, particularly after she began working with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, from where she retired after nearly thirty years of service. She was a Christian and, through the years, attended Crossroads Methodist Church and The Vine Church, both in Perry. Doris loved gardening, whether it was flowers and plants or vegetables, and enjoyed the time spent with her hands in the dirt and outdoors. After volunteering to foster a new litter of kittens, even bottle-feeding them, she grew to love cats.
Doris Wynell was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Howard Frost, Gene Frost, Bryson Frost, Wilmer Frost, and Johnny “Doc” Frost.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Doris Wynell are her loving and devoted companion and best friend of twenty years, Daniel “Dan” Murphy of Perry; her cat “babies,” BooBoo, Paws, and Bob; her siblings, Franklin Frost (Joyce) of East Dublin, William Frost (Nancy) of Eastman, Jimmy Frost (Ann) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Eula Frances Frost Purser of Dublin; a sister-in-law, Rosa Frost of Dublin; and many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
