Donna Marie Velie's Obituary
"Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing." II Timothy 4:8Donna Velie, age 58, of Grand Bay, AL passed away from this life on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Velie; precious children, Everette Velie (Missy) and Alaina Bowman (Justin); grandson, Lucas Bowman; sisters, Wanda Skeen (Dean) and Betty Warden; brothers, Ray Cress and Johnny Kilgore (Thelma); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Donna dedicated her life to the Lord at the young age of 5 years old. She was a wonderful woman who touched the hearts of everyone she would meet. She was faithful in her service in church ministry, school ministry and would always try to help anywhere she seen a need. She had such a sweet spirit that would exude God's love. She had a feeling that she never wanted to let down her responsibility in trying to please the Lord, and she demonstrated that through helping others. She always had a way of making you feel so special and would believe in you even when you didn't always believe in yourself. Donna will always be with us in our hearts and memories. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and the many lives she has touched over the last 50 years. Although she will be greatly missed, there is little doubt that she will have a special place in God's mind. While we grieve, we know that one day she will be there when we cross over to meet her.Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The burial will be held in Orange Grove Mississippi Cemetery on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 12:00 noon.
