DONNA ADAMS MIDDLEBROOKS's Obituary
PERRY –
Donna Adams Middlebrooks, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., and the Funeral will begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Donna was born on September 13, 1939, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late G.T. and Thelma Anderson Adams. After graduating from Miller High School in Macon in 1957, she met and married the love of her life, James Paul Middlebrooks, Jr. They settled in Perry to raise their two sons. Donna worked hard to create a loving and nurturing home for her family and was a homemaker all of her married life. For over fifteen years, Donna also worked at First National Bank of Perry. She loved animals all of her life. Dogs, horses, and especially cats always put a smile on her face. Donna’s greatest treasures in life were her family.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her loving and devoted husband, J. Paul Middlebrooks, Jr.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Donna are her sons, J. Paul Middlebrooks, III, and David G. Middlebrooks (Cindy Lewis); her granddaughters, Melissa Westphal (Dominic) and Samantha Vaughn (Robert); her great-grandchildren, Miller Westphal, Audrey Vaughn, and Addison Vaughn; her brothers, Freddy Bieber (Yvonne) and Dan Adams (Nancy); her sister, Darlene Layson (Gerald); and several nieces and nephews.
