DIANE COOK's Obituary
Sandra Diane Minick Cook, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2023, after a brief illness. The Visitation will be at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Houston Lake Baptist Church Building Fund, 2300 GA Hwy 127, Perry, GA 31069.
Diane retired from the Defense Logistics Agency at Robins Air Force Base after 30 years of civil service. She was a Quality Assurance Specialist inspecting goods ranging from textiles to pyrotechnic devices produced by contractors for the federal government. Diane was a tireless prayer warrior and a faithful member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. She deeply loved all her family, prayed for them daily, and was diligent in sending cards and letters to lift spirits. Diane was a kind and compassionate lady loved by all those who knew her.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Cook; her parents, Floyd and Averil Minick; and her brother, Larry Minick.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Diane are her daughter and son-in-law, Karan and Elza Fowler of Perry; her grandsons, David Renner of Macon, Reverend Nathan Fowler (Sarita) of Altamonte Springs, FL, and Reverend Jake Fowler (Emily) of Warner Robins; seven great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Sara Minick; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
