Dennis Ray Thompson's Obituary
HAWKINSVILLE -
Dennis Thompson, 61, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Dennis was born in Perry to the late Benjamin Randolph Thompson, Sr. and Laura Frances Cheek Thompson. A graduate of Perry High School, he obtained his EMT license and had goals of attending nursing school. While his goals were unattained officially, his desires of being a nurse were fulfilled when he became the primary caregiver for his mother, which he did for over 5 years. Through the years, he worked in Central Georgia as an EMT and worked in the construction business for many years in the family business. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Brown.
Left to cherish the memories of Dennis are his siblings, Ben Thompson, Jr. (Janet) of Milledgeville, Charles Thompson (Janice) of Milledgeville, Dolly Frick (Harry) of Elko, Martha Joyce Roberson (Donald) of Hawkinsville, Jerry L. Thompson (Martha) of Haynesville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
