Life Legacy
Della Crews Crosby, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Dooly County immediately following the service. The family will visit with friends 30 minutes before the service, from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or to the donor's favorite charity. Mrs. Crosby was born in Palmetto, Florida, to the late Roy and Trudy Herndon Crews. She grew up in Echols County, Georgia, but had spent most of her life in Perry. She was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. Mrs. Crosby loved her family and really enjoyed shopping, especially if she could find a good deal. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Crosby; her son, John Michael Crosby; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Crosby are her sister, Betty Williams of Valdosta; her nephews, Calvin Williams (Misty) and Jason Williams; her great-nephews, Caleb and Austin Williams; a niece, Debbie Sauls (Ronnie); and many other extended family members.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
