DEE COLLIER's Obituary
PERRY –
Desiree Delores “Dee” (Miller) Collier, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Gentiva Hospice, 105 Jim Mason Court, Suite 100, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Dee was born in Waco, Texas, and moved around the country with her family while her dad was enlisted in the Air Force. She was always athletic and competitive, and enjoyed playing golf and ladies softball, and competed in a local bowling league. After high school graduation, she earned an associate’s degree. She worked as a Records Clerk at Perry Hospital, then took a position with Fort Valley State University, from where she retired as an Administrative Assistant. After retirement, she returned to work with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in the Payroll department for about 10 years. Dee treasured the times she went fishing with her husband, Daniel, at the Flint River. She loved her family and enjoyed going to the movies with her sister. Dee and her friends took turns choosing the spot for their weekly luncheons. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Dee was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Trudy Miller, and her husband of 49 years, Joseph “Daniel” Collier.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Dee are her sons, Jeremy Collier (Jessica) and Josh Collier (Rebecca), both of Perry; her grandchildren, Payton Collier, Lleyton Collier, and Jagger Collier; one great-grandchild, Carson Collier; her sister, Debbie Miller of Warner Robins; her brother, Herb Miller of Statesboro; and a niece, Mathyn Miller.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at https://www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
