Deborah Smith Adams, 73 passed way on Tuesday, February 8, after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Perry Memorial Gardens with Rev. Parker Agnew officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of JR and Anne Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Westfield School, 2005 US Hwy 41 South, Perry, GA 31069 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westbridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Deborah was the daughter of the late Ernest and Erma McWhorter Smith. She grew up in Hapeville, Georgia. She was a graduate of Hapeville High School and then attended Georgia Southern University. She came back home to work in banking where she was introduced to the love of her life Alrie Adams. Once married, they live in Hapeville where Deborah was a Sales Representative for Kimbery Clarke. She then worked for Fulton County School System. Deborah and Alrie moved their family to Perry where they resided for over 20 years. She retired from Houston County School System as a Technology Specialist. She was a member of the Perry First Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and making special mementos for them with her sewing.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 50 years, Alrie J. Adams, Jr., and son, Greg Adams.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Anne Moore (JR) of Perry and Michael Adams; sister Harriet Tatarsewski (Skip) of Kernersville, NC; two grandchildren, Reeves Moore and Jackson Moore;brother and sister-in-law Jay and Evelyn Anne Turner of Athens.
