Davis Benjamin Evans, 29, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2015, in New York, a city that he loved. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Presbyterian Church. Interment will be private. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions are made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, In Honor of Mary Elizabeth Paris, 62 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Davis was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on March 16, 1986, and grew up in Perry, Georgia, where he graduated from The Westfield School in 2005. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Davis was employed by Mobley Furniture Outlets as Manager of Marketing. He loved traveling and spending time with his beloved friends. He was fortunate enough to have travelled in Europe for three weeks in the fall of 2014, a lifelong dream of his. Davis had a quick wit about him, like his Grandfather, and was so much fun to be around. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Babs Evans; and his maternal grandfather, Rochell Davis.
Left to cherish the memories of Davis are his loving and devoted parents, Ben and Kim Evans of Perry; maternal grandmother, Fronnie Davis of Jesup; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; many dear friends; and his faithful companion, his dog, Bond.
