DAVID LEON WOMACK's Obituary
BONAIRE –
David Leon Womack, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Dublin. At his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Friends of Perry Animal Shelter, 204 Kellwood Drive, Perry, GA 31069.
David was born in Perry to the late Leon and Lillie Prince Womack. He lived in Houston County most of his life. David worked for McGlamry Properties for many years and most recently worked for AGI. He was a talented diesel mechanic and heavy equipment welder and could repair any kind of equipment. David loved animals, especially cats, and would welcome any and all of them to visit with him in his yard. While he always enjoyed being outdoors, he became a master gardener through the years, taking care to plant and nurture various vegetables and flowers. David was known to family and friends for his generosity, as he was always giving vegetables from his garden, flowers from his yard, or home-cooked meals that he took time to prepare specifically for others.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister, Jewel Christine Roland.
Left to cherish the memories they made with David are his loving and devoted daughter, Endia Womack of Dublin; his grandchildren, Calvin Womack, Bryan Womack, and Rebecca Womack; his great-granddaughter, Ariel Womack; his sisters, Brona Langston of Warner Robins and Sandy Mellinger of Seymour, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
