David Douglas Monroe's Obituary
EAST DUBLIN-
David Douglas Monroe, 60, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, after an extended illness. Services will be in Sutton, West Virginia, at a later date.
David was born in Akron, Ohio, to Lillian Propst Brown and the late Norman Monroe. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam war era. After graduation from high school, David earned a degree in Robotics from Technical School. He earned Hazmat Certification and was an over the road truck driver. David had lived in Dublin for the past 12 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew John Monroe.
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Brown of Warner Robins; a daughter, Kelly Van Horek; 3 half-sisters; and 2 step-brothers.
