DAVID L. KESSLER's Obituary
PERRY, GA –
David Kessler, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at his home in Perry, Georgia. A small family gathering to celebrate the life of David will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
David was born on December 19th, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Theodore “Tedo” and the late Dorothy “Dotty” Kessler. He was a Sheet Metal Mechanic with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base from where he retired after over twenty-five years of service. David Kessler was an avid mechanic who liked to tinker around the house and on cars. He was passionate about motorcycles, camping, grilling, technical lighting, and music. One could frequently find him listening to The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, and the Blue Man Group while he worked. David was also a man of deep convictions with a generous heart. He lived by the rules of treating others as you want to be treated and giving your best effort in life. He motivated others to learn and greatly enjoyed teaching valuable life lessons and skills. David Kessler was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Terry Lyn.
Left to cherish the memories they made with David are his loving and devoted wife, Anita McIntyre of Perry; his children, Brandon Kessler of Perry, Jennifer Harper (Jacob) of Haynesville, Scott McIntyre (McKenna Murphey) of Kathleen, and Jessica Jones (Kevin) of Warner Robins; four grandchildren, Breanna Fritz (Tanner), Braelynn Kessler, Kohen Harper, and Karson Harper; one great-grandchild, Jaxton Fritz; his siblings, Cathy Snyder, Debbie Schafer, Mike Kessler, and Susan Kessler; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
