After lunch, family and friends are welcome to visit in the chapel until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.David was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, to the late David C. and Lillie Wilkinson Jones. Upon graduation from high school, he worked with his dad laying brick. Later, David had a partnership with his father, where his father managed the jobs, and David laid the brick. He had a wonderful reputation for being a professional brick mason, and even did some brick work when he first moved to the campground. He laid all the brick on the back wall of the Chapel in our church home around the Rose of Sharon glass. David traveled to Atlanta and laid brick for Tommy and Bernie Bonner. He even worked for the brick mason that laid the brick for Sarah Jernigan's cabin. When the brick work became too much work for him, David started doing lawn work around the campground, and he really did a good job. He was a kind, considerate, and faithful friend. He had a sense of humor that all enjoyed. The greatest thing about David is that he found Jesus Christ at the eleventh hour!!Left to cherish the memories of David are his sister, Cleo Patterson; his brother, John Jones; and his close friends, Sarah Jernigan and family; and many Brothers and Sisters in Christ.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
