DAVID ASHLEY CAWTHON's Obituary
ORLANDO, FL –
David Ashley Cawthon, 66, formerly of Perry, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. He appeared to have died peacefully, in his home, of natural causes. A celebration of David’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 27, 2021, in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry.
David was born on April 4, 1955, in Perry, Georgia, and graduated from Perry High School in 1973. He enjoyed life every chance he got. He loved his family, and was so proud of his daughters. David loved corny humor and always shared it with anyone who would listen. He loved fireworks, swings, and trampolines and was a lifelong lover of music. His life mantra was “Do not fear death, rather fear an unlived life.” It is fitting, then, that the day before he died, David attended a Counting Crows concert with his daughter, Whitney. He left us on a high note…no pun intended.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Ketus Conner Cawthon.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Brian Ross of Thomasville, GA; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Matt Morris of Monroe, GA; his daughter, Whitney Cawthon of Thomasville, GA; his grandsons, Bryson Ross and Brody Ross; his granddaughter, Maddox Morris; his siblings, Able Rae (Rick), Mary Stubbs (Steve), and Deen Cawthon (Marci); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are asked to please share funny stories, special memories, and any old pictures in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry has been entrusted with the arrangements.
