DANEASE FARNSWORTH's Obituary
MACON –
Faith became sight for Danease Flowers Sullivan Farnsworth, 88, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, with loving family by her side. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Perry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homestead Hospice, 500 Osigian Boulevard, Unit 300, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Danease was born in Salem, Virginia, the only child of the late Howard and Ranee Flowers and lived in Perry, Georgia, for over twenty years. Danease loved working in Downtown Perry and was a sales clerk and fitting associate at the Horace & Mildred Shop until it closed in the late 1970’s. The neighboring Hallmark Store quickly approached her, and Danease became the Manager there until it closed in the 1980’s. She accepted a clerk position with the Houston County Tax Assessor’s Office, still in downtown Perry, and retired after a few years. Danease was a member of the Pilot Club of Perry and an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Throughout her life, Danease walked closely with the Lord. Her faith and dedication to church and family were very evident in her daily life and her active involvement with her church. She was a very accomplished pianist, performed in college, and played at various churches for many years. Her musical talents also included singing, which she did in several choirs and church programs as well as weddings and funerals when invited. Danease was very hospitable to everyone she encountered; she never met a stranger. She always made people feel welcome in every situation.
After the loss of her first husband, Roger Clayton Sullivan, Danease continued to stay active in the community. She was fortunate enough to find love again when she met and married Bob Farnsworth and moved to Macon. Danease loved her family and accepted Bob’s family as her own. She was an actively involved member of Avondale Baptist Church with Bob, particularly with the senior adults.
Danease was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Sullivan, and their only child, a daughter, Catherine Sullivan Bramlett.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Danease are her loving and devoted husband of twenty-two years, Bob Farnsworth; her granddaughter, Pamela Bramlett of Perry and her children Christopher and Gabrielle; Bob’s children, Sharon Nickels (Bob) and Catharine DeLoach (Harold), both of Macon, and Bob Farnsworth (Debbie) of Gray; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
