Daisy Mae "Granny" Holifield, age 76, a native of Jasper County, MS and a longtime resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ed Holifield, children, Barbara Little and Brenda Cockrell, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Holifield, Jack (Halei) Cockrell, Ashley Cockrell, Tommy Little, great-grandchildren, Ariel, Lexica, Allysa, Dixie, Mia, Emma, pet monkey Sirus, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12 noon with visitation starting from 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
