I first knew Connie as a very young kid when her family moved to a very rural community in Smyrna, GA. She was a classmate of my older brother. I remember her as a nurse and so impressed to see her come home from work all dressed up in her nurse uniform. After Connie and Eddie married they remained in my neighborhood and would shop almost daily at at my family grocery store. They were always pleasant to be around. I remember when I was fourteen Eddie carried me to Atlanta to see a professional wrestling match. He really loved to see the action of the wresters. Many years passed and we did not have any contact. Some how we reconnected. Connie found out that my mother was in failing health and she asked that I keep her updated on Mom's health. Mom passed away at age 92. I continued to keep Connie updated on my brother, her classmate, until his his death 3 years ago at age 89. We continued to keep in touch either by phone or Christmas cards. I was sadden to learn today of her passing on Feb 28. Connie was a very caring and loving person and I am sure she will be greatly missed by her family. Ed Fitzgerald
